On any download on any site I get:...could not be saved because of an unnown error occurred.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select a file to download
2.Hit download
3.In download manager select save.
Actual Results:
...could not be saved because of an unnown error occurred.
Downlaod manager indicated download failed.
Expected Results:
Download should complete.
Running with no logon items fixes the problem. I could not identify a specific logon item that causes the problem.
Similar problem with Camino. Safari, Opera, and Omniweb work fine.

Could you please list which login items you had enabled. If you could try to narrow down which one was causing the problem, that would be helpful. Without more information there is nothing we can do and this bug will probably be ignored.

If I run with all logon items removed there is no download error. If I logon with only System events and or Microsoft database daemon the errors reoccur. However if I remove these items from my normal list of logon items the problem reappears.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

My latest investigation seems to indicate that this problem is related to system events.app, in core services. If I force quit this item then Firefox downloads correctly. Can you help me with this as it is beyond my skills?

The System Events.app is trigered by Folder Actions. The folder Action FolderOrg, a very nice utility, acknologes the problem. Thus the source of the problem is Folderorg.
