User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061029 BonEcho/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061029 BonEcho/2.0 The URL I tried is http://www.bbcgermany.de/ Distribution is Gentoo Linux with KDE as window manager. Trying konqueror-3.5.2 works fine with that URL. Haven't tried more browsers by now. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Type in URL 2.Hit ENTER Actual Results: The browser crashed after loading some things. Can't really say, which causes the crash. Expected Results: The browser should show the site. I have the following add-ons installed: Adblock 0.5.3.043 DOM Inspector 1.8.1 Forecastfox 0.9.3.1 NoScript 1.1.4.5 RSS Ticker 1.8.10
wfm on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7. Can you provide a talkback id ?
I didn't crash the first time I loaded that page. But I did crash the second time. TB25257247M Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061029 Minefield/3.0a1 ID:2006102904 [cairo]
Attached file talkback
I didn't crash in 2.0 on Ubuntu 6.10. Probably because Totem says I don't have the correct codec installed. The part that crashes in Windows is the video under Exslusiv. I think that's crashing in Linux as well.
The windows crash seems to be caused by the windows Media Player Plugin and that means we need a Linux TB ID. Did you try to load the video in FF alone without the page and see if you still crash ? Could be a corrupted video file and the plugins are crashing there.
Attached file Log for Firefox
Still have problems creating a talkback id. Thus, I have tried to create a backtrace with gdb, which also did not work as you can see in the log. Anyway, the error messeage is very clear. Hope this helps. I will continue trying to create a TB ID tomorrow...

Summary: Firefox 2.0 as well as Firefox 1.5.0.7 crashes while loading a specific URL → libvlcplugin.so isn't well linked [undefined symbol: XtWindowToWidget]
Version: unspecified → 1.8 Branch
Does this bug still occur in Firefox 2.0.0.4 and an up-to-date libvlcplugin?
Keywords: stackwanted
Is this still an issue in Firefox 3.5?

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/ If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
