User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 The Quick Find bar ("Search for text when I start typing") no longer displays all find bar options in Firefox 2.0 (such as Next, Previous, etc). This was available in Firefox 1.x and was a great convenience especially when using shortcut commands (alt+n, etc). Now the Quick Find can only be used to easily find the first instance of search criteria. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable the "Search for text when I start typing" option 2. Start typing to enable the quick find Actual Results: There are no "next" or "previous" options, etc. available Expected Results: The full Find Bar options would be available, including "next," "previous," "highlight all," etc.
Version: unspecified → 2.0 Branch
I am unsure what the motivation behind removing this was. now we have an empty bar with no tools. This feature was essential for me, especially when doing research. I am downgrading to 1.5.x series again until this comes back, I just feel so helpless without it :(
