Details

The build machines are generating full updates. However when you check for updates on a linux trunk build built after 20061026 there are no updates found. Tracy confirms this behavior.

This maybe should should be two bugs. 1) partial mars are missing for Linux trunk since 1026 2) fall-back to full update isn't working in the case of the missing partial.
I'm going to resolve this a dupe, because the other bug was slightly earlier and and documents the steps towards resolution. (In reply to comment #1) > This maybe should should be two bugs. > 1) partial mars are missing for Linux trunk since 1026 This is due to the change from argo to argo-vm as the tinderbox responsible for this build. The ssh keys needed to tell AUS about builds (and hence generate partials and update offers) were not set up right, so the information never got through. > 2) fall-back to full update isn't working in the case of the missing partial. I'm not sure how this would work. The tinderbox does make the complete update file along with the tar.gz/exe/zip/dmg, and puts it on the ftp server. It also tells AUS about the build it just produced. The patch generator later pulls info from AUS and makes the partial update files, then feeds information back into AUS. Just about all the recent problems are at the initial tinderbox -> AUS communication stage, so AUS never knows the details of the full update it could be offering. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 358928 ***
