When marking a message as not Junk, Penelope should run filters against the message, and perhaps perform other actions like move the message to the Inbox for the appropriate account.

I believe Eudora already does this.

Yes, Eudora does. Penelope does not (yet).

You know the more I use gmail spam filtering the more I realize the Eudora spam filters just dont cut it anymore. Spam filtering is so complex this is often better left to companies that do just this. The eudora spam filters have lost much of their effectiveness in the last year to the rapid increase and sophistication of spam bots and image spam
Also, unjunking should move the message back to the inbox.

First reason I changed long time ago from Outlook to Eudora was CTRL+J key (filter mode). It's a indispensable tool for me, when I solve an e-mail, I send it to it's folder directly with CTRL+J, InBox is mostly empty and mails are always stored in their own folder (b.e. I have a folder for each customer).
Assigning to Thunderbird as this is not unique to Penelope.

It turns out that, in IMAP, filters actually are currently rerun when junk messages are returned to the inbox. That in fact is the cause of bug 540385. In discussions in bug 540385, we are deciding whether to allow filters to rerun when messages are unjunked and returned to the inbox. The current plan is to specifically disallow that by setting an attribute to prevent it - which is in direct contradiction to this bug.

I don't have a strong preference either way, in fact I have written patches for bog 540385 that either allow or disallow the rerunning of filters. But readers of this bug should know that the current plan is to disallow rerunning of filters.
I often wish this bug would get fixed. Actually, it seems to coincide with the number of times a good email is marked as Spam... hmmm....

Filters can now run on archive, and on interval. I think those should cover this case.
