It will accept "archeology" but not "archeologist" or "archeological". Either variant is OK according to the American Heritage Dictionary, but consistency would be nice. Reproducible: Always The hint for the Core/Spelling Checker component says "For bugs with the spelling checker used by Thunderbird and Seamonkey." but there's no spelling component listed for Firefox. Is this the place to report Firefox spelling bugs?

This should be fixed now that attachment 303861 [details] [diff] [review] of bug 418076 has landed. Please check with a 2-20 nightly or later and confirm that things work now and mark this bug VERIFIED. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/
