win32 2000041505 is the latest build I've seen this in, but it has shown up intermittantly in a number of past nightlies. When scrolling in view source, the window contents are not always cleared before the next lines are shown, so the new text is painted on top of whatever was already in the window. Resizing the window or changing its focus clears it up. It does not happen every time, but often enough to be a pain.

The reporter of bug 35755 describes the same problem, but only while scrolling, on Win 98. ccs-pg@vortxweb.net, are you seeing this without scrolling? I've seen nothing like this with any recent build on WinNT, only the occasional momentary blitting glitch while scrolling very fast.
Summary: recurring problem in view source → recurring problem in view source - new text painted on top
re: are you seeing this without scrolling? I'd have to say no, since the problem is the result of scrolling. :) Scrolling speed has not been a factor for me. I have not yet found a pattern to this glitch (page size, number of windows open, etc.) but am trying, and will certainly post if I find one.

Confirming bug, based on two independent reports (bug 35755 and this one) and the attached screen shot. Note that both bugs have been reported on Win 98. Don't know which component to assign, but XPApps is seems wrong to me. Setting component to Browser-General for Asa to dispatch.

possibly a layout issue. If not then ZPApps probalbly is the best place for this. Sounds like some kind of reflow problem though. -> Layout.

Sorry for the component confusion. I should have read the component descriptions first. Next time I'll be more careful.
I can't reproduce the problem on NT. Don, looks to be a Win98 specific problem

For some unknown reason, this almost always happens when viewing page source at http://www.tvguide.com/listings/ (get to a page with actual listings on it first)

This bug has been marked future because we have determined that it is not critical for netscape 6.0. If you feel this is an error, or if it blocks your work in some way -- please attach your concern to the bug for reconsideration.

I have not seen this happen in a long, long time. Since I originally reported it, I don't have a problem if you mark this WORKSFORME or something. If I ever see it again, I'll resubmit. OK?
