359841 - incorrect domain for Search in DE

From our Yahoo contact, their German team reported that Firefox 2.0 points to the wrong domain for search, although we redirect to the right url on Yahoo side, we need to ensure all the international builds follow the guidelines as defined at: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox2/L10n_Requirements#Yahoo.21

Currently:

A search leads to the URL:

 http://search.yahoo.de/search?p=suche&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2

 Correctly it must be: http://de.search.yahoo.com/search?p=suche&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2

I have checked this with mconnor and he suggested I file this bug and nominate for blocking 2.0.0.1. he also said, that it looks like a straightforward fix, should be very safe for 2.0.0.1 in December

[de] approval for Firefox 2.0.0.1 to fix search URL for Yahoo. Requested by Yahoo, forwarded by mic.

I'll send out a mail to QA to alert this.

This bug has an approved patch, but not the verified1.8.1.1 keyword.

Please make sure that the approved patch is landed (add the fixed1.8.1.1 keyword then) and tested. If you verified that the bug in question is indeed fixed on the 1.8 branch nightlies, please add the verified1.8.1.1 keyword.

We need to get the QA activities around Firefox 2.0.0.1 up to speed so that we can feel good about releasing this update.
