Start Firefox and opens home page 2. immediately www.heavy.com....etc pops up 3. I close the popup and click on a bookmark, comes up again and then the above urls Actual Results: 4. I close all the popups which close Firefox Expected Results: 5. The Popup Blocker does not seem to stop the popups. 6. Not allowed the popups to pop up. 7. It is a security issue.
This sounds like an ad-ware infection which may or may not have come through Firefox. If we can identify the infection vector as a Firefox flaw we definitely want to fix it. Please work with the technical support folks listed in the "Community" section of http://www.mozilla.org/support/ for help narrowing down when, where, and how your machine might have become infected. The Firefox popup blocker is designed to protect against popups coming from a web site, it isn't designed to protect against popups opened by your own machine. You should run one or two of the respected anti-spyware scanners on your machine to identify the infection. You may need additional help cleaning up from a spyware help forum, the Firefox support folks may not have the spyware-fighting expertise you'll need depending on what you have.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2 and after doing a spyware scan with AdAware and Spybot? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
