Details
Firefox v1.0.5.8 is not honoring the default printer for Windows XP Pro SP2. The only way to change the printer being used by Firefox for printing is to change it every time you choose to print in the print dialog, or to load the about:config page, find the print.print_printer entry, and change it to the printer you want Firefox to use as the default.

Did this work in previous versions, or does 1.5.0.8 just happen to be the version you're using?

I think this is a dupe of bug 315817, actually. We're caching the last-used printer and just using it. I only think we set the Windows default printer as the selected printer when you create a new profile and first print a document.
