User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414 I copied text from Word 2003, including some hidden text, to the Mozilla Compose window. The text in Word that was hidden text did not show up in the Compose window, and this is the way it should be. But when I sent the email, the hidden text was sent as non-hidden text, and the person I sent the email to could read the hidden text. Hidden text should not be copied at all to the Compose window and definitely shouldn't be sent in emails. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Copy text, including some hidden text, from Word 2003 to Mozilla Compose window. 2. HIdden text is not visible in the Compose window. 3. Send email. Check email you sent and you'll see that the hidden text is visible and can be read by the recipient of the email. Actual Results: Hidden text is sent to recipients of email. Expected Results: Hidden text should not be sent to recipients of email. The text in the body of the email is formatted as Body Text, Variable Width.
correcting component (composer is not for mail, it is about making web pages) please set the version of mozilla on which you see this problem and make additional helpful comments to clarify the problem since you last reported.
Assignee: composer → mail
Component: Composer → MailNews: Main Mail Window
where should this go? even if it's hidden text, it's still vulnerable if it gets sent.
I'd like to see such a message as an attachment here...
