User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0

When I leave firefox open for an extended period of time, the search bar stops working. I can type things into the search bar field, but I can't hit enter or the magnifying glass to get it to search.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Leave firefox open for an extended period of time (couple days)
2. Type search into search bar
3. Press enter or click on magnifying glass

Actual Results:
Search doesn't happen.

Expected Results:
Search should send query to search selected (google)

This issue also occurs on same version of firefox for Mac OS X.
I've never seen this problem before, nor have I heard reports of it from other people. Perhaps one of your extensions is interfering? When things stop working, do you see any exceptions in the error console if you set javascript.options.showInConsole to true using about:config?

I'm not sure what the issue was but it went away.
