Vista keeps all of its contact data for an address book in the same location, which is... C:\Users\"user name"\Contacts and it saves all of its contact information in ".contact" files. I will attach one of these files filled out completely. This files storing system in unique to Vista and should be implemented for better system integration with Vista.

The contact file is saved in XML.
So what is the bug here? Do you want the mozilla based address book to interface to Vista's Contact list, or the default storage mechanism to be as per Vista?
I would like thunderbird to be able to import the contact information. I also would like to see thunderbird be able to export the contact information.
(In reply to comment #5) > I would like thunderbird to be able to import the contact information. I also > would like to see thunderbird be able to export the contact information. Ok, that's fine, confirming and updating summary.

It would also be useful the option for Thunderbird to use Vista's Contact list as the standard address book, or at least the possibility to synchronize the two address book.
I really agree with Alessandro here : the ability to synchronise with Vista's Contact list is really important for me. One of the numerous reason is the fact the Vista's Contact list is easyly synchronised with my iPod Touch via iTunes : this level of integration is wonderful.
