User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 The internet connection goes via a router. With Firefox 1.5 no problems. I installed 2.0 and there was no internet connection. I even could not connect to the router. I checked the settings ("Direct connection to internet") and everything seems ok. I uninstalled 2.0 and re-installed 1.5. And the connection is ok. The problem occurs on Windows 2000 service pack 4. I followed the same procedure on Windows XP and Firefox 2.0 works fine on internet (via the same router). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install Firefox 2.0 on Windows 2000 Service pack 4. 2.Try to connect to an arbitrary URL and the connection can not be established. 3. I re-installed Firefox 1.5, so everything is ok now. But we can not take advantage of the enhancements of 2.0
Please update your firewall to allow firefox to connect, it will assume that the new version of firefox is a separate program. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites Otherwise you are better off getting support from one of the areas at http://www.mozilla.org/support. Bugzilla is not for user support.
