Here's a case that worries me a bit.
I think we should close the context menu if the content it was opened for
is removed.

I think Martijn filed a bug on this once.... it had some partial patches, as I recall...

Well, I can't really remember I filed a bug on this.
However, I'm not really a proponent of closing the context menu, since this is not what IE7 and Opera9 are doing, see bug 329521, comment 11 and further (although I don't feel strongly about this).
Bug 344176 was filed about the moving of the context menu after its subject has been removed.
