http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Creating_a_patch suggests using the cvsdo utility from http://viper.haque.net/~timeless/redbean/ to include new files in a patch. This utility is useful for people without commit access and should be included in the build environment. From timeless' page: """ Important setup notes: you need a cvsdo and a cvsu * on windows nt i use cvsdo.pl and cvsu.pl with PATHEXT=%PATHEXT%;.pl that allows me to type 'cvsdo' without the .pl, and because windows is configured to use perl.exe to handle .pl files, things just work """

You don't have to worry about the PATHEXT thing if you put it in msys/bin without the extension and are running it from bash shell spawned by start-*.bat, which is what most people would be doing anything. This would just be a matter of dropping in two files and saving me the trouble of having to remember to do so. :)

Don't care enough anymore, active development is not happening in CVS.

cvsdo is needed for NSS and NSPR development still. The link above is dead. The wiki now points to this as the source for cvsdo: http://www.red-bean.com/cvsutils/releases/

Feel free to fix it. I'm not planning on working on this.
