When using GranParadison/3.0a1 on a Mac OS X,  the drawing of the preference pane is jumpy. 

Instead of being a nice smooth change between tabs, the change appears to 'stutter', and UI elements appear to move after the tab is drawn.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. GranParadiso -> Preferences
2. Change tab and witness jumpy performance
3. Select Content tab and notice the checkboxes appear to jump too

Actual Results:  
Jumpy and jerky changes

Expected Results:  
Smooth changes, no moving UI elements
