Not sure this is a dupe of bug 259591, so I'm opening a separate bug.
In Thundebird 2.0b1 (version 2 beta 1 (20061209)), the progress bar is incorrectly drawn. This is a regression from Tb 1.5.
I'm using Mandriva Linux 2007, KDE 3.5.4. Screenshot coming...

Fails under KDE 3.5.5 (tried a few different themes, but do not notice big changes). Works under GNOME. Used version version 2 beta 1 (20061206).

Incidentally, a great way to see/test the problem is http://www.hevanet.com/acorbin/xul/top.xul
Click Progressmeters and you will either see the problem or not. I'm confused as to where the problem lies. I'm running FF/2.0 in FC5/Gnome and see the problem, yet in FC6/Gnome FF/1.5, I don't see the problem. So it's an issue in Gnome?

this sounds like a toolkit issue, does Firefox have the same problem?

No, Firefox works fine (Fx 2.0.0.1).

Really? It's broken for me in Firefox. As I said before, try: http://www.hevanet.com/acorbin/xul/top.xul and click Progressmeters. Under FC 5 with FF2.0, it's broken. Under FC 6 with FF1.5, it's not broken.

Confirmed on Thunderbird with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.1.2pre) Gecko/20070116 Thunderbird/2.0b2 ID:2007011615 with KDE 3.5.4 on Mandriva

I'd suggest moving this to toolkit and letting it go through the normal toolkit triage process since this is broken in Firefox and thunderbird for KDE.

This looks like a duplicate of bug 322274. Are you *sure* it's not fixed on trunk?

I'm sure, yes. Tested with today's nightly:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007101004 Minefield/3.0a9pre

I didn't see this problem for a very long time. Marking as WFM.
