This happened right after i updated from 1.0 1.5 i think it was. and hasnt changed since Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Mozilla icon on desktop 2. 3. Actual Results: it crashed Expected Results: it crashed The only time i can currently get mozilla to work properly is in safe mode which i am using now. i made a shortcut for safe mode just so i can use it because i prefer mozilla over IE but id really like to get the full use of it someday again. i loved the addons.
If safe-mode solves the problem you clearly have an extension problem, not a security problem. Could be a single bad extension, or perhaps two otherwise fine extensions that clash. This is not necessarily a bug in Firefox, or at least from what little is reported here we don't know what that bug might be so it's not all that useful as a bug report. You could: - get help from http://www.mozilla.org/support/#community - see if you use an extension on the following list http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions - disable all your extensions, restart, then enable them one by one (restarting each time) until it starts crashing again -- that's your culprit. The fastest is going to be to follow the support link, tell the folks in the IRC channel which extensions you've got, and they'll probably have heard of the problem already.
