The problem is with Firefox 2.0 password, regarding password protection, when I try to login it shows the actual password instead of showing asterisks, as you type the pass word in, it shows the actual letter or digits that are being typed, when you stop typing you can see the complete password that was enter, asterisks will appear only for a brief moment after clinking on login, the password will remain visible until you click on the login button , this happens with any site that requires a password to log on, Have uninstall then reinstall the program without success, have checked the password settings to make sure that the password is not allow to show

What extensions and plugins do you have installed? This is not normal behavior.

This bug has not been updated in 6 months with no response from the user since they reported the bug in 2006.

Please download and install Firefox 2.0.0.4 and try again.

If you still have problems, please comment on this bug.

If there is no response in a week, this bug will be closed as WFM.

I have not been able to reproduce this bug and three attempts to help the reporter by three separate people has resulted in no feedback.  This bug is being resolved as WORKSFORME.

Reporter, please reopen this bug if you still are having this problem after following our suggestions.
