Downloaded and installed new Adobe Reader 8 today and a PDF link will not open in Firefox. Received error message. Checked your list of Adobe Reader plug-ins and it only goes up to v7.5. When will Reader v8 plug in be ready?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Returned to original web page and tried to make the link a number of times.

Actual Results:  
See web site above and see the link to the page I tried to open. The only way I could get the PDF page to open was to first open the Adobe Reader 8 application myself (manually) and then click on the link in the browser.

Expected Results:  
THe software should have opened the PDF file in the browser window automatically.

In your urlbar, type in about:plugins - is Adobe Reader listed? Most likely Adobe did not install the netscape plugin during install or there is a option in it's preferences to enable embeded use.

I use the FirefoxPortable version and also the Adobe Reader v.8 and I have select in reader's preferences , in internet category, Show pdf in explorer marked and this problem continous.
I have seen the plugins instaled, and i have
