364166 - Popup Blocker Preference Not Retained Between Sessions

Successful in turning off Popup Blocker.
However when i reload the browser, the popup blocker reverts to,
ON.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Options, Popup Blocker Checkbox Unchecked
2.Exit Firefox.
3.Upon reload box is again checked, and popup blocker is turned on.




It appears to be extremely difficult to submit a bug to Firefox.

I have a similar problem in that I prefer that box checked and it gets reset to unchecked each time Firefox launches.

This is the same issue I have been having with the last version (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7). I've trusted, used (and recommended) Firefox for ages and this is the first bug experienced. Hope someone can figure this one out.

This is still occuring in release Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1.
To recreate:
1) Select Tools from the menu
2) Select Options
3) Select the Content tab
4) Check the option box to Block popup windows and clock OK (enabled)
5) Exit Firefox
6) Launch Firefox
7) From the Firefox menu select Tools, Options and select the Content tab.
8) The option box to Block popup windows will not be checked (enabled).

What I found was that the user.js file has a setting for user_pref("dom.disable_open_during_load", false);
Setting this entry to true corrected the Block popup windows option.

This bug was reported using Firefox 3.0 or older, which is no longer supported. The bug has also not been changed in over 500 days and is still in UNCO.
Reporter, please retest this bug in Firefox 3.6.10 or later using a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles. If you still see this problem, please update the bug. If you no longer see the bug, please set the resolution to RESOLVED, WORKSFORME.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
