User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
I checked out the top-of-tree, executed "./configure --enable-application=mail" and it fails to build.
I have another copy and I can build FireFox fine in that directory. I noticed that the Mac OS X machines in the tinderbox are not intel machines and are running 10.4.7. Apple has shipped 10.4.8.
Will attach the full log. Here is the bottom of the log:

Which branch are you building (listed as Version in Bugzilla)? Trunk? MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH?
I trust you've already looked at the build prerequisites page for MacOSX over at MDC:
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Mac_OS_X_Build_Prerequisites
FWIW, bm-xserve09 is an Intel xserve running 10.4.8, and is building Thunderbird trunk just fine:
http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=Thunderbird
The mozconfig files we use for the tinderbox builds are available in public CVS is you would like to give them a try. The module/dir you want is: mozilla/tools/tinderbox-configs/thunderbird/macosx
I meant "Trunk" when I said "top of tree". Sorry about that.
I had read through the doc on building for a Mac and had installed the libidl port.
None of the errors mentioned in the Mac OS X document reference the ldap library.
Sorry, I have no suggestions. Perhaps something on my machine is messed up. I am not seeing other symptoms that I am aware of.
Pilot error. I had an unrelated issue with using client.mk to check out the sources. This led me to checking out the latest on the mozilla directory. This is the thing the Mac OS X build page says not to do.
Once I fixed the issue I was having with using client.mk, I was able to check out correctly and build with no problems.
