Firefox 2.0 worked without problems. After updating to 2.0.0.1 Firefox crashes on startup.

Does it work if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (it temporarily disables
plugins and extensions, this test will help narrow down the cause of the
problem)

after starting firefox in safe mode, quitting it and restarting it normally, everything works fine.

Maybe you could download 2.0 again and use that to go to "Tools->Add-ons" and
disable all the extensions and then restart 2.0.0.1 - does that work?
If it does, enable them one by one to see which one is causing the crash.

rerhart, when you still crash with Firefox 2.0.0.4 please see comment #4 from mats how to fix this problem.
