Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2pre) Gecko/20061219 SeaMonkey/1.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2pre) Gecko/20061219 SeaMonkey/1.1

We use Seamonkey 1.1 on two different desktops and a laptop.

We also frequently use the right-click, sento, mail recipient, function from Powerdesk, or explorer.

Recently this function stopped working, and I after checking many other things I became convinced it was a seamonkey problem.

I had a laptop, with an older version of seamonkey 1.1a still installed, and sento worked. Seamonkey composer popped up with the file attached.

I installed Seamonkey 1.1b dated December 14th, and sento was broken. When I click the "mail recipient" menu item, nothing happens.

I reinstalled Seamonkey 1.1a dated June 27th overtop of the 1.1b installation above, and sento began working again.

I tried the December 19th version, and it is still broken.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install recent version of seamonkey 1.1b

2. Have seamonkey open or closed

3. Right click a file in explorer and choose sento, mail recipient

4. It should fail

5 Reinstall seamonkey june 06 or earlier

6 Sendo works

Actual Results:
See above
I see this on Trunk using the *.zip-Builds too. I have not tried the Installer-Builds.
Now I can confirm this issue using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061221 Mnenhy/0.7.4.10005 SeaMonkey/1.5a

I have tested a while and Windows SendTo:-Protokoll works fine with all the VC6-Builds, last known working was 2006102609.

But SendTo: fails with the VC8-Builds, I have tested with recent Trunk-Builds and experimental Builds Build ID: 2006102209 and 2006101821.

Now I have tested the recent SeaMonkey 1.1 Zip-Build 20061222 and sendto works for me in this Build under WinNT 5.1.
Sorry for my wrong Bug-Confirm, probably I have used the wrong Build first time.

But SendTo still won't work in Windows-vc8-Trunk-Builds.
Copy another mozMapi32.dll from 1.8-Branch-Builds or formerly vc6-Trunk-Builds into \seamonkey\-Directory will make SendTo work again with recent Trunk-Build 2006122209.

The Version of the mozMapi32.dll is always 0.8.0.0, but the Filesize will be different, vc6 Build is 7kb, 1.8-Branch is 24KB, and vc8-Trunk-Nightly is 9KB.

So something broke mozMapi32.dll for vc8-Trunk-Builds I think.
I can reproduce the problem with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/2006122214 SeaMonkey/1.5a (self compiled suiterunner build).

And since this test, send to with SeaMonkey 1.1 isn't working too.
I downloaded a recent version 20070111 of "1.1" (it no longer has the "b" as in "1.1b" and this is still broken.

Sure hope they fix it before releasing 1.1
This problem is not restricted to SendTo function. The 1.1b MAPI does not work at all but works with 1.0.7. See Bug 361233 (not confirmed yet).

This regression should IMO block SM 1.1.

Dupe of bug 361233, and 1.1 is de facto released anyways
