i got home tonight and i tried to open firefox and it would not let me a window came up that said i could not use it under a default profile. i have been running it now for over 2 years and nothing like this has ever came up. i am very very irritated by this. i had to create a new profile? and now i have NO bookmarks or saved info. what the heck happened why did this happen all of a sudden?????? how do i fix this and get my old default profile and info back????

You probably experienced an issue covered at 
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use#End_processes
and can switch back to your original profile using
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager#Accessing_the_Profile_Manager

It seems that your profile was in use, so a new profile was created. please see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use
