Ok...trying this again.... (from the cvs update made 4/20) 1) Go to the above website (which has the new versions of "God defend New Zealand" that the government are making available). 2) Try downloading the 4th version of the anthem in mp3 format. 3) Stop the download after about the 1000 Kb part. 4) Start downloading again and hit "Ok" when it asks if you want it to replace the file. Correct behaviour: The download occurs correctly. Buggy Behaviour: The download "finishes" in 3 seconds and gives you a null file.
Severity: normal → blocker

Reduced severity to critical. This is not a blocker because other downloads work fine. Bill, should this be moved up to a nsbeta2 candidate or off to M18?
Severity: blocker → critical
Priority: P3 → P2
Target Milestone: --- → M17
I can't find the file in question (the URL takes me to a "not found" page). I wonder if this shouldn't go to valeski because it sounds like a problem conversing with the server rather than a problem handling the data. But without the url to the file that causes the problem, we're stuck. I'll let this sit until I get to it in a week or two. We'll leave it at M17 till then.

Move to M20 target milestone.
Target Milestone: M17 → M21
better summary
Summary: Downloading a file does not work...pretends to finish 3 seconds after start. → Downloading a file fails if you suspend/resume download
Does any kind of download with moz support any "resume" feature at all? I've never seen it - all i ever achieved is that it starts downloading all over again, from scratch. (linux)
i don't see "pause/remove" in the xp download progress dialog --which now has only the Cancel button.
Clearing out old stale bugs; can't reproduce.
