I have downloaded the file but when I tried to install I get an error message that says file no good

Steps to Reproduce:
1.downloaded file from site

Actual Results:  
clicked on downloaded file to install
received error message file is corrupt

Expected Results:  
the software should have installed thunder bird email browser 

I have tried to install the software download was successful but when I tried to install I got the error message so I thought the download was bad so I deleted the file and re downloaded the file and tried to install it again with no good results
I would like to use the thunder bird for email if I can get a good install 
I have windows XP pro and I am using mozilla firefox version 2.0
Try deleting the file, rebooting the computer, and redownloading it.

If you are using firefox (or some other mozilla product) to download the installer, and it still says the file is corrupt after downloading it, try deleting the downloads.rdf file in your profile ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder ), and trying again. http://kb.mozillazine.org/7-Zip_Unspecified_Error
