Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 (20061207)
In Thunderbird, there's an option in the privacy menu called: "Block
loading of remote images in mail messages". In the Spanish (Spain)
translation this feature is called: "Carga en bloque de imágenes remotas
en mensajes de correo" which doesn't actually mean that. The correct
translation would be: "Bloquear imágenes remotas en mensajes de correo"

The file and entity containing that string is:

/mail/locales/en-US/chrome/messenger/preferences/privacy.dtd
disableImageInMailNews.label

For upcoming Thunderbird 2.0, the translation is set to "Bloquear la carga de imágenes remotas en mensajes de correo", that is slightly longer but more correct; however, I have been unable to actually find the string in the UI, so I can't test if being longer affects in any way to the UI layout.

OTOH, we can't do anything to solve wrong translations for Thunderbird 1.5.x.

Marking as FIXED, as no wrong translation will happen for TB 2.0.
