User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061221 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061221 Firefox/2.0 Disabled element text in gtk applications appears 'carved' and is easily visible with my theme. However, firefox displays it very dark on dark background. Either the color is fixed to gray or some sort of shadow color is pulled form the theme which is not visible on the background. Reproducible: Always
Please specify distribution, window manager and theme. For example, Ubuntu 6.10, KDE 3.5.5, Keramik. Please upload a screenshot of the problem using the "Create a New Attachment" on the bug report. Thanks.

Windowmanager: irrelevant (currently ion3) Distribution: irrelevant (currently Debian and Gentoo) gtk theme: thEmacs adapted for gtk2 The theme was never published anywhere. I tried to submit it to a theme site but they refused it because they did not read the submission.

Confirmed it on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007103004 Minefield/3.0a9pre
This is related to bug 69710 (not sure if I should dupe to that, as that's Windows and this is Linux), but the problem is the same in both cases: disabled text needs a 3D look, and that can't happen until bug 10713 lands.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
