365010 - When adding new bookmark, dropdown menu of expanded folders will not show & dropdown arrow is upside-down

When going to add a new bookmark, I click on the arrow which shows the expanded, dropdown menu for bookmark folders, and it will not show no matter how many times I click the dropdown arrow.  In addition, the arrow (usually pointing down) points up.  It is at first pointing down as usual, but the first time I click it to get the expanded menu, it turns upside down and I cannot get any type of response.  I have hundreds of bookmarks, perhaps a thousand, so it could be because I have so many bookmarks. It was not reproduced on my friend's computer (he does not have that many bookmarks).  I have Windows XP running the latest version of Firefox.  It happens every time I attempt to add a new bookmark to a folder not in the top five menu in the last few days.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click bookmarks
2.click "bookmark this page"
3.Click dropdown arrow on the bookmark window that pops up

Actual Results:  
Arrow will turn upside down and expanded menu will not show up.  It will do nothing.

Expected Results:  
Same exact outcome, not being able to add a bookmark to anything except the most recent folders.

The arrow should remain pointing down.  The expanded menu should come up, allowing me to choose a less-popular folder to add the bookmark to my bookmark collection.

hurm... I don't even know why there is an expanding menu for adding a bookmark...

There is a duplication of functionality that just results in over complication.. GNOME has the same type of horrible expando boxes.. There's no point to having an expando box if we always require /use the expanded functionality!

I always try to add bookmarks to a folder inside of the bookmarks toolbar, and this requires a couple of extra clicks to get it done... I'm just saying that the create bookmark dialog needs to be reimplemented...

However.. if they have to keep the [[ drop down dingaling dohicky gee whiz look at me I hide stuff like those fad car decks that eat cds and break all the time...]] expando thing,

I don't care about the arrow direction.. it's change from a down arrow to an up arrow indicates that it will operate the expando doohicky.  

I say, just get rid of the drop down box, and the arrow, keep the list... AND make the window resizable.
