is it possible to set min width for the created column? or make the dashes in dates nonbreaking?

my screen is 1600x1200. This really isn't a small screen, I'd like dates to be up to two lines long, 4 lines as split here is excessive. Note that sticking the time zone on its own line is ALSO bad.
WFM using Firefox 3.1. Dates do not split on dashes.
