User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3
Build Identifier: Version 2006091101 (1.0.3)

Large amount of material on page is skipped, including text and an image. The problem seems to start the first time the <ul class=> tag is used and seems to end at the next </div> tag.

The problem starts at the bottom of the 2nd printed page, where some text is overpirnted.

This prints OK in Firefox. I am enclosing web page, and saved pdfs from camino and Firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to Web Page
2.Use File/Print command
3.Use Preview or Save As PDF to view output
Actual Results:
Text at bottom of 2nd page is corrupted - some text is overprinted and a loarge amount of text is skipped.

Expected Results:
Page should appear as rendered on screen - See Firefox example for correct results
Pdf file of 2nd page of print output - could submit entire document because of file length constraints.

This is how printed output should look
This is 2nd page of printed page. Problem can be seen at the bottom of the printed output.

This works for me using the latest branch nightly and my pre-1.0.4 build.

What versions of Camino and Firefox were you using?
Production versions - not development ones.

OSX 10.4.7
Camino about: Version 2006091101 (1.0.3)
Firefox about: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9
The only way (aside from user settings or browser sniffing on the site) that it would be broken in Camino 1.0.x and work in Firefox 1.5.0.x is if it got fixed in a later 1.8.0.x Gecko version; can you download a pre-1.0.4 build from here and verify that it works properly for you there: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/camino/nightly/latest-1.0-M1.8.0/
I have been able to make this happen in all versions of Camino (old, current and nightly build) and also current Firefox. It seems to be specific to selecting my HP2710 Photosmart 2700 series printer with the HP driver version 4 and HP PPD version 1. Using that printer with Ghostscript driver and PPD worked fine.

This looks like an HP bug but, for the record, here's how to recreate it:

0) Set up printer - HP Photsmart 2700, HP driver Version 4, HP PPD version 1
1) remove Camino prefs.js file in Application Support
2) Start Camino
3) Load page
4) Print page => Result: page printed OK
5) In Page Setup, Format for HP2700 printer
6) In Page Setup, Set Paper Size to US Letter (it seems to default to Letter Banner for some reason)
7) Print Page => Result: page printed with skipped text (see Comment #2)
I'm going to resolve this INVALID as a HP driver bug, then, since it seems pretty clear from the evidence in comment 7.

Frank, did you ever get in touch with HP about this bug? This isn't really TE in the traditional sense, but since it affects the Camino user experience, it's something we might want to push with HP if we can.

Get in touch with HP about a bug? You must be joking. Based on previous experience with HP support, I'd be told to follow a 17 step manual procedure to uninsstall HP drivers, then re-install them. When that didn't work, I'd be told to reload the OS, then the printer drivers - and while waiting to be given this advice I'd be on the phone for 8 hours with 9 differenct people, all with impossible to understand Indian accents. Then if they did file a bug report, it probably wouldn't be accurate.

If you know any HP engineers I could communicate directly with, I could try, but not sure what I'd be able to add - the attachments and instructions should cover it all.
Wrote to HPLIP mailing list - moderator said he'd forward it to Mac R&D contact.
Thanks. Keep us updated, and please feel free to point them to this bug if they get back to you.
