User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061231 Minefield/3.0a2pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061231 Minefield/3.0a2pre It is possible to create bookmarks with *only* name. But these are gone when firefox is exited and restarted Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable bookmarks toolbar 2. create a folder todo 3. position cursor on this folder 4. press right-mouse button and select option "new bookmark" 5. create bookmark with *only* name like "buy: milk" 6. create a few more like "be a TEDster" 7. check that these bookmarks are visible in the todo folder 8. exit firefox 9. restart firefox > the bookmarks are gone ! Actual Results: bookmarks with *only* name are deleted after firefox is exited and restarted Expected Results: bookmarks with *only* name should exist this bug should be corrected to maintain to do lists..
Because bookmarks without an address are not valid bookmarks I think. Why not just a link to a text file or an extension like Quicknote?
Yes, I could see that just entering the same name in the location field solves the issue But it is more usable if it is just enough to enter the name..
This is an interesting usage pattern for bookmarks. FYI, reporter, the included URL is timing-out for me.

Adding a description of the "bookmark" will hold it in place.
