User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; nl; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; nl; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9

I have another page where the lines are not showing in a table:

http://www.waalsweekblad.be/kastelen.shtml

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Show page
2. Scroll down
3. Reloading does not help

Show all the lines in the tables

This bug is here a very long time already, so I gave it the priority Major
works for me on the trunk (where the reflow branch was landed), but not in Firefox 2.0
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061231 Minefield/3.0a2pre
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061230 Minefield/3.0a2pre
I do see lines in branch builds and also in trunk, but not anymore after Bug 300030 was fixed (only some lines on the bottom when I scroll down).
Sounds like I see the opposite of Jo and the reporter.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
displays lines here:
http://www.waalsweekblad.be/kastelen.shtml

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061231 Minefield/3.0a2pre
First I saw no lines, only on the bottom, so I can confirm comment 2.
After restart of browser and reloading page by accident lines are displayed now.
It just seems to happen randomly in every build, trunk and branch.
Sometimes I see only horizontal lines and not vertical lines and after a reload they are back or all lines are suddenly gone after a second or third reload.
Possibly I have seen a similar bug before.

Confirming this. I needed >10 reloads on branch to kill horizontal lines.

I tried to create a local testcase (copying the source of http://www.waalsweekblad.be/kastelen.shtml to my disk).

FF 2.0.0.1 shows the bug after >10 reloads.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20061231 Minefield/3.0a2pre
shows the bug one time when opening the page but no more after reloads.

Using win XP, pentium4, 1800 MHz, 248 RAM

Confirming on Mac OS X 10.4.8 (PPC).

After about 7 reloads and some scrolling in between, was able to reproduce on branch 1.8.1.

I'm pretty sure this is the same bug as bug 244135.
The site use border-collapse: collapse and rowspan.
Component: General → Layout: Tables
Depends on: 244135
Product: Firefox → Core
QA Contact: general → layout.tables
Version: unspecified → Trunk
WORKAROUND
The workaround is to use search and replace and take out all occurencies of
style="border-collapse: collapse"
Then everything is shown correctly, even with slow connections

Please test this now in current trunk build, it should be fixed by the patch from bug 244135.

Bingo.
Fails with Minefield from 2007-10-08, but WFM with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007101504 Minefield/3.0a9pre
(Firefox 3)

(The webmaster removed border-collapse:collapse from the main table of
 testcase http://www.waalsweekblad.be/kastelen.shtml
For testing you have to add it again.)

j.j.
Ok, thanks for testing j.j., bug 244135 was reopened, because there was another case where there was a problem, but this is apparently fixed by the first patch of that bug.
