I've had a frequent hang throughout the betas of FF2, and in the shipping product as well. I've always been told it was some other bug that had been fixed, but it's still happening with 2.01. It just happened again while I had task manager running, and I found some info that might be helpful - task manager said that Firefox was using ~4900 user objects (usually it uses around 100). The other resource counts seemed within normal limits, iirc. Other info: I had just come out of idle - the XP screen saver had come up and I re-entered my password to get back to my desktop. However, if the other hangs I've seen are the same problem, it often happens when I'm not idle. I had two acrobat tabs up, and a pandora tab (but it was not playing). Pandora uses flash, as I understand it. As far as I know, whenever I've had the hang, Pandora has been in one of the tabs. I almost always have www.pandora.com in one of my tabs. If there's any other info I can get, please let me know.

David, do you still see this? And gdi was not also inflated?
Severity: normal → critical
I have not seen this with FF in a relatively long time, though my computer is a lot faster, and not running XP anymore.
I didn't find any other bugs of any significance that mention user objects in the last 4 years. And there's no one else on the bug. So probably OK to call this WFM. The issue I had been seeing was with GDI.
