User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061222 SeaMonkey/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061222 SeaMonkey/1.0.7 I recently upgraded Seamonkey on several of my computers (linux) that I use to access my Juniper Netscreen SSG-20 Firewall. When I access certain buttons that allow for "form" manipulations the browser window closes (if only one window the browser appears to exit). This problem does not occur on Seamonkey 1.5a but so far has been seen on Seamonkey 1.0.7 and I believe 1.0.6 and 1.0.5 as well. I tested with Firefox which works and collected the following Firefox rv:1.8.0.9 Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9 Firefox rv:1.8.1 Gecko/20061024 Firefox 2 Seamonkey rv:1.8.0.9 Gecko/20061222 Seamonkey 1.0.7 (fails) Seamonkey rv:1.9.a1 Gecko/20061026 Seamonkey 1.5a (normally use) I wonder if a "bug" may have been introduced into the Gecko engine. I have downloaded the next beta version of seamonkey (named 1.1b) but have not installed it yet. I am currently working with Juniper Support (case number 2006-1231-0026) to insure the SSG-20 is producing good HTML code. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Need a SSG-20 running NetscreenOS 5.4 2.In the profile set the MULTIPLE button 3. It happened every time - repeated 5 times before I moved back to 1.5a and then tried the other browers on Linux. Actual Results: The windows disappears - browser appears to have exitted if only one window is open. Expected Results: The MULTIPLE button pop-up window should open None at this time. I do plan to do additional testing/comparisions.
Please isolate the HTML/CSS/JavaScript if possible and make a reduced testcase. You can upload files using the "Add an attachment" link on the bug report.
This is the HTML frame data from the SSG-20
In SeaMonkey 1.0.7, Edit->Preferences->Navigator->Tabbed Browsing - which "Link open behavior" preference do you have?
I believe it is/was the default setting. I do generally allow pop-up and I believe have open-new-windows-in-tab. I specifically added the IP address of the firewall to the allowed pop-up. In 1.5a I get pop-ups. I am putting together a test network for the firewall with clean installations of Slackware 11 for configuring the firewall.
OK. Can you upload the file "adr_entries_edit_cnt.html" please?
The pop-up opened as a tabbed-window in this 1.5a. With seamonkey 1.0.7 the window closes. I had been trying a variety of settings which is one of the reasons I am setting up the test/configuration network.
It seems to work for me, both in SeaMonkey 1.0.7 and 1.5a on Linux. When I click the "Multiple" button a new window is opened (with two lists), choosing something and then clicking OK or Cancel closes that window, nothing else. Can you provide access to one of these servers where the problem occurs? (or provide a reduced, but still complete and simple testcase) http://wiki.mozilla.org/MozillaQualityAssurance:Triage#How_to_Really.2C_Really_Help_Developers_on_Bugs_--_Minimal_Testcases
It will take a little bit of time. I need to get the test network built. I will also reproduce the problem. Is there any debug I can enable that might help?
Now I can not duplicate the problem. I am using seamonkey 1.0.7 and even started with a clean .mozilla directory. I am using a different system with the seamonkey 1.0.7 so will try with the laptop to see if it does the same thing. The laptop has some plugins modules while on the system I am currently using does not have any additional plugins.
Please close this report. I am no longer able to duplicate this problem anymore and am not sure what settings were in use. If I am able to reproduce this problem again dependably I will update this problem report and see about re-opening a problem report.
Please reopen this bug report if you can reproduce it again. Thanks.
