i'm reading various users' logs and they're very very confusing. mine actually isn't that confusing. but i'm not going to say who i examined :).
if a user with grant admin adds self to admin, the log should indicate:
grant(admin) as the reason.
if a user with admin by regexp adds self to admin, the log should indicate:
regexp:admin as the reason.
if a user with editusers grants grant(editbugs) to someone, the log should indicate:
editusers as the reason.

I don't see any use for it, either.
