User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: version 2 beta 1 (20070107) If the default view is "Favorite", the folders list is incomplete when TB has just started. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Thunderbird. 2. Set many folders as "favorite". 3. Switch to the "Favorite" view. 4. Restart Thunderbird Actual Results: Not all favorite folders are listed. We have to cycle to refresh the folders view. I use an IMAP account with a lot of folders/subfolders.

were these folders saved search folders? We fixed a bug where saved search folders weren't showing up in favorites until you toggled away and toggled back.

To help reproduce this bug, mark folder as favorite that are deep in the hierarchy (seems to be reproducible when they are at the 3rd or 4th level). Also, to be sure that all folders appear when we cycle through different views, we have to cycle to the "full" view. If we only go to the "unread" view, the favorites folders list has chance to be not be complete.

By the way, it doesn't affect POP accounts. I've seen this bug only with IMAP accounts. My assumption is that IMAP folders are not accessible when TB starts and it's why favorite folders are not displayed at first. Is there someone that can point me out some places/files to look at in the code? I would like to fix this problem if I more information is available.

I can confirm that I am seeing the same issue with 2.0 beta 2, as above when talking to an IMAP mailstore and marking a subfolder as favourite. Please let me know if you require any additional debug information for this issue.

I do see the same misbehavior with 2.0.0.4 with IMAP folders. The folders I marked as favorites seem to be on the 3rd level of the folder hierarchy: Inbox |-Workflow |-Urgent [fav] |-Action or Respond [fav]

Same issue with 2.0.0.6 and GMail IMAP service. Not all favourite folders show up at startup, must cycle through the views to see them.

Issue remains in version 2.0.0.12 (20080213) on Mac OS X 10.5.2. As with others, this regards IMAP folders.
