Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9
Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.9 (20061207)

As a large message was transferring to the SMTP server, I suddebly realize that I'm sending from the wrong e-mail address so I press the cancel button.

The transfer cancels. Good.

However I am then presented with an alert dialog telling me "Sending of message failed" and asking me to verify my SMTP settings. While this would be reasonable if the message had failed due to server error, the alert should not be displayed when I specifically told TB to cancel the message. My settings are correct, and TB did exactly what I told it to do.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send large message (large enough that you have time to cancel it)
2. Press cancel button
3. See alert dialog
Actual Results:
Sending of message failed alert

Expected Results:
No dialog
Summary: Sedning of Message failed dialog when I manually cancel the message → Sending of Message failed dialog when I manually cancel the message

do you see this with a current early release or TB 2?

I just tried it, and I get this message on version 2.0.0.17 (20080914).
