As per Summary, the Subject field in the main window contains the body of a HTML message.
If i reinstall a version 4.42, Dated 07 November 2006 18:47:40, messages are displayed correctly.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Send Html message to yourself

So the second screen shot is as you expect, and the first is the problem?
Have you recently installed an extension that might have done this? I seem to recall seeing someone mention just such a thing recently. Do you get the same result when running TB in Safe Mode?
I can't reproduce it with TB 3a1-0110, Win2K.

Scott landed a change yesterday on the trunk to append the preview text of a message to the subject line, if there's room. See bug 364090. We're experimenting with this...

Is it / Will it be configurable, either in the Gui or manually.
I think it makes the inbox look messy and cluttered, but i can see the appeal to others.
As long as its intended, (and eventually becomes a config option :) )then im happy for the case to be closed.
