User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; de; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; de; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Since I installed the current version of Firefox, code like this <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=error.php"> is ignored. The problem is reproducable - but only on Mac (using OS X 10.4.8). When I try the same URLs with Firefox or IE6/7 on Win32 or even with IE 5.x on Mac anything works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try the given URL. That's all. 2. 3. Actual Results: No results. Nothing happens. Browser works fine afterwards. Expected Results: Should be redirected to given URL By viewing the page information dialog, I can see the correct refresh tag in the "meta" section.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20070110 Minefield/3.0a2pre I get a server error.
I've observed the same problem (meta refresh not working) on Linux, with Firefox 2.0.0.4. Meanwhile the same pages are refreshed just fine on my Windows machine, using the same version of Firefox...
(In reply to comment #0) Meanwhile, I found out, what was the problem on my machine: I am using the web developer toolbar and after I reinstalled this extension, everything worked fine - although I am sure, because I double checked, the option "disable meta refresh" has not been active. Who knows, maybe there was an inconsistancy in the extension version I used then... After reinstallating the extension the problem was gone.
