We need a few strings to be translated into all the languages Firefox exists in. These strings will be used on a new web page that will be used to propose 1.5 users to upgrade to 2.0.

You have a mockup image of what it should look like here :
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=240580

Localizers will find attached to this bug a file (en.lang) containing
the strings to translate into their language.

The file is organized as such :

#Spell checking as you type
Spell checking as you type

The second string should be localized, like this:

#Spell checking as you type
Vérification de l'orthographe lors de la frappe

Please attach your translated file to this bug with your locale name as file name like 'ab-CD.lang'.

The last string, EULA, is an acronym that is sometimes translated and sometimes not. If it is normal to use the English acronym in your language, just leave it that way.

Of course, as usual, use a UTF-8 capable text editor ;)

Thanks

British English (en-GB) localisation attached.

By the way, the en-US expansion of EULA:
#<acronym title="End-User Licence Agreement">EULA</acronym>
should spell "License" with an _s_ ("Licence" is the correct^W en-GB way to spell it).

en-GB translation

Then it should probably read

>#<acronym title="End-User Licence Agreement">EULA</acronym>
><acronym title="End-User License Agreement">EULA</acronym>

At least I translated the title for the German file.
Yes, the title should be translated for the end-user. There is a c in licence because I am European ;)

The strings seems out of content. Some changes may be needed.

probably has BOM at the begining, i hope it's not a problem.
Here is the Norwegian Bokmål translation (I hope to get it Q/A'ed tomorrow).
A Norwegian Nynorsk translation of this text is not needed, since there is no nynorsk release of Firefox 1.5. (Nynorsk came with Firefox 2.0)
