(fyi a month-old nightly build is quite outdated to be reporting a problem against)
the group you refer to is called a mailing list.
do you still see the problem in a nightly trunk or TB2 build?
trunk:ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk
TB2:ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8
Summary: Group display not updated after adding an entry through Properties context menu → mailing list display not updated after adding an entry through Properties context menu
Version: unspecified → 2.0

Lack of information, 1.5.0.x is no longer supported.
-> Incomplete.
Please comment if the issue still occurs in the latest supported Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 or trunk nightlies.
