User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
When starting Firefox, it checks if it is the default browser. When the message pops up that it is not the default browser and you want to make it the default browser, clicking yes will result into that Firefox is started but the bookmarks do not work. No page appears when clicking in the bookmark list.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Firefox
2.Make Firefox default browser
3.Click bookmarks
Actual Results:
No page appears and also no message saying it is loading the page
Expected Results:
Clicking a bookmark must result into loading the requested page
After restarting Firefox as the default webbrowser, the bookmarks are working

No, the comments are there but when I click on one the page loading is not starting up. Again when I restarted Firefox as the default browser everything is working ok again.

OK, I'm not a Mac user but I would do this test just to find out if the two things are related:
- Make a new profile with your default browser and copy your bookmarks to this profile
- Install or unzip another firefox on another location and start it. Normally (on Windows in any case) this would trigger the Default Browser dialog.

This is a tyical Windows solution. I am not gonna test it. I reported a bug which I encounter from the 2.x versions of Firefox. There is nothing wrong with my profile.

I suggested to use a new profile just to exclude extension- and other influences. I could not yet find a duplicate of this bug.

(Version 2.0.0.1, portable firefox on Windows)
I have marked my version of Firefox as the default one, so when I press a link in Thunderbird, Firefox starts.
When I start Firefox by pressing a link in Thunderbird my bookmarks is gone, but when I start Firefox with "FirefoxPortable.exe" the bookmarks appear as they should.
The same goes to the installed Add-ons. They are not loaded when starting from the default browser application, but are loaded when starting using "FirefoxPortable.exe".
