In the last couple days whenever I try to save an image by right clicking and save as to its destination, no actual download occurs, no errors pop up but no download statistics are visible and when checked in the saved location, the image is not present.  I can save an image by clicking and dragging it from the window to its destination, as well as in Internet Explorer.

I wouldn't know about reproducing it, the event just occurs automatically and started within the last couple days.

Probably cleaning up your downloads manager will help. Or try deleting the file downloads.rdf in your profile.
