  Minefield->Preferences->Content->Fonts&Colors 'pulldown'

Fonts are not displayed at all in the pulldown menu.

Button/field at bottom of dialog is cut off.

Probably the Mozilla XForms 0.7 extension. I seem to remember a problem with that.

You are correct.

Disabled the XForms addon; restarted FF3.

Font menu is correctly drawn & populated. No more cutoff @ bottom.

is XForms part of standard FF3 release, or is it an extra?  i honestly can't remember if _i_ installed the silly thing or not.

does disabling it break anything else afayk?

It is not part of the standard install of Minefield Mac. There was a moment where it was included by accident (bug 347421) but that has been resolved.

No. You only need it you want to access XForm based pages/webapps. If you don't remember why you have it installed, you probably don't need it.
(there is also bug 358418 for that Xforms extension problem).

Resolving this as WFM.
