Firefox shuts down frequently, typically when trying to open an url but also at other times. Restarting Firefox brings up the option to start again from the crashed session or from a new one. Restarting from the crashed session usually works.
Firefox 2 does it, also the PmW-Fx 2. Firefox 1.5 does not do it. Checking the dll structure with the PMDLL program: in firefox2, the MOZJS.DLL file is pointed out as unloadable (error 87; displayed in red). Whereas it is normal in firefox 1.5
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:

3.
It's a real nuisance. I am going back to firefox 1.5 more and more.
The above description of the use of the PMDLL program is not correct. In fact the error 87 is present for both firefox 2 and firefox 1.5. It is present only f you use the "test load dll" option of the PMDLL program.
Probably is unrelated to the reported bug?
did you install talkback? if not, please do so.
alternatively, you follow the instructions at http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg

Talkback does not exist on OS/2, but a look at the POPUPLOG.OS2 file on the bootdrive could give us a hint on where and why it is crashing.
sorry. i should have noticed the os/2 bit and maybe next time i'll recognize pmdll as being os/2 presentation manager wor whatever.
but yes, popuplog appreciated.

mg, as nobody else seems to get these crashes, I am resolving this bug a WORKSFORME.
If at some point you can give us more information, like the entries from POPUPLOG.OS2 or at least some indication on which URLs it crashes, please reopen.

The bug has much weakened, or perhaps gone away. It might be related to font problems I had recently, and which I have hopefully cleaned up now, with the help of the FontFolder program.
