2000-042208 M16 Linux crashes when as it reads a html page in.
Attached file gdb backtrace
pages i've tested all contain one or more gifs. Crashes today as well. 2000-042309 M16 Linux. Upping to major.
Severity: normal → major
The above happens when loading pages from local disk. But it also crashes (different backtrace) when loading external pages: -open url location -first click sidebar twice - decide it won't voluntare to go away -deselect sidebar from top menu instead -crash Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x401f2a64 in GlobalWindowImpl::Focus ()
Confirming bug. I finally crashed on PC/Linux, build 2000042309, using the file picker to load a trivial "Hello World." HTML document into the composer. Backtrace follows.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
And now for something completely different... Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x8943a98 in ?? () (gdb) bt #0 0x8943a98 in ?? () #1 0x80c0f20 in ?? () #2 0x5f006c in ?? () Cannot access memory at address 0x2668e463.
Ok, I give up. The backtraces seem to be somehow random. However I could reliably crash mozilla with the following steps: \rm -rf ~/.mozilla mozilla -g -d gdb run 1. open a composer window using the Tasks menu 2. click on the Open mini-icon in the composer 3. select the local file foo.html using the mouse only 4. click on Ok 5. crash foo.html contains the following: <html> <head> <title>Test</title> </head> <body> Hello World. </body> </html> I could not reproduce this with build 2000042113, but I only tried once.
Adding crash keyword.
