I have a thread with a specific subject and each time I organize my mails by thread, when I expand each thread, more than one time, the mails "inside" the thread repeat themselfs. In example, if I have 2 mails in the thread, after I colapse and expand again, I will have the same 2 mails plus another copy of them (4 mails total), if I repeat again, I'll have 6 mails total... etc..
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:

I'm sorry I cant help u much more, I actually dont have a lot of spare time to try to reproduce the bugs, but if I get really mad with thunderbird I'll eventually uninstall and install it again, if so and I'm able to reproduce the bug after a fresh install I'll say something.
hmmm.. another thing.. The only thing I did was try to change themes and layouts.. and the problem persists...any thing else, just mail me.
Good work!

Could you attach the problem thread mailbox?
Move all of the mails in the thread to a new folder. Then find the mailbox in the profile folder, it's the file named the same as your folder, with no extension. <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder>

Created a new folder and moved one of the threats inside, although the problem ceases to exist when I do this. It only happends in the main folder.

Are you able to isolate a part of the folder which makes this happen? A mailfolder is just plain text - so you can (make a copy and) open it in a text editor, and edit out relevant parts until you find the offending part. (It likely have something with the message-id/references/in-reply-to headers.

This bug also appears in Thunderbird 2.0.0.0 when using thread views. It happens systematically (with my gmail account)

seen this also, but not for a while. and a variation - new messages arrive appear in the count, but don't show in the thread (ala bug 329665)
both seem to happen when TB gets in a funk due to new messages arriving.
